Series 3: Living deeply, dying well: conversations about end of life journeys

The past two years have presented us with incredible challenges. Perhaps, like many of us, you’ve taken some time to think more about the end of your life. And maybe like many of us, you haven’t quite made or recorded your current decisions or had the opportunity to have in-depth, heart-to-heart conversations with those closest to you. The next Life Transitions series, “Living deeply, dying well: conversations about end of life journeys,” will provide time for these opportunities.

Laurel Riedel, Advanced Practice RN, CNM, leads the first two sessions, including discussion and work around making choices that will lead to better endings. As she says, the time to do this work is now, while we are able. If you already have completed a health care directive and/or a POLST, these conversations are still for you.

Macalester Plymouth’s Karen Sletten, J.D., presents session three, “Anticipate the unexpected: lifetime planning with a power of attorney!,” where she will address choices and decisions related to the financial aspects of end-of-life planning.
