Spring Work Day 1

Please join us May 4 and/or June 15, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm each day, for the spring workdays this year. Both days are Saturdays. Work will be done that helps the church building and grounds function properly. There are both outdoor and indoor tasks that need to be taken care of.

Outdoor tasks

  • Garden cleanup

  • Gutter cleaning

  • Mulching

  • Brush/branch cutting

  • Setting garden bed edging

  • and more!

Indoor tasks

  • Clean windows and screens

  • Clean closets

  • Deep clean social hall/crossroads/staircases

  • Kitchen clean

  • Weather seal evaluation and replacement

Please consider coming to enjoy the camaraderie and sense of common purpose. And to get work done! Coffee and refreshments will be provided.

Afro-Christian Convention - Fifth Stream of the United Church of Christ: “A story of faith, resistance, and empowerment in the hostile environment of Racism.”

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN for a night to make new friends in 4 UCC congregations while combating racism. Falcon Heights joins Clark-Grace UCC and Macalester-Plymouth United Church in learning about this “Fifth Stream of the UCC,” Thursday, March 7, from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm at St. Anthony Park UCC. The four pastors planned this event to build community with some of our closest UCC neighbors —joined via Zoom by Rev. Dr. Yvonne Delk and Rev. Henry Simmons, the editor and two of the book's authors. The evening will begin at 5:30 with a soup and bread meal and fellowship, followed by Mother Delk and Rev. Simmons joining us online. To register, click the link above. You can order the book here from Pilgrim Press and support Franklinton Center at Bricks, NC, where the book began! When we understand how radical it is to live in God’s presence right here, right now, our lives are transformed toward mercy, justice, and abundant life. Dr. Amy Oden shows how the practice of Christian mindfulness begins with the teachings of Jesus and continues throughout Christian history.
