All Together Now: Human Spirit Skills for our Journey Toward Justice

The Isaiah Team invites you to join us as we learn about how we, as people of faith, can continue to show up in these complicated and fraught times during the election cycle.

How do we "show up" in times where hope and hopelessness, anger, compassion and anxiety can live side by side in our bodies, communities, and even our families? We will look at the long history of both vocal leaders and dedicated community workers across the world and closer to home for humane interspiritual insights and daily practices that allow us to stay engaged even in complex times. We will seek to ground our spirits and buoy our energy for the short and longer terms for the justice and community compassion we all seek. we’ll have some light snacks for the meeting.

Anna Kendig Flores was an interspiritual and secular chaplain in hospital and mental health settings for almost 10 years. She now serves as the antiracism coordinator for over 50 congregations in Minnesota around equity action and shifting behaviors inside and outside houses of worship for greater community health and wholeness. Honoring the working class lineage of service in her Mexican family, Anna's formation explores the connections between embodiment, eco-imagination, justice, and joy.
