Rev. Adam Blons
Rev. Adam Blons was called to be the Lead Minister at Macalester Plymouth United Church in August of 2013. He was excited about the vitality of the church’s ministries, its long-standing social justice witness, and the truly intergenerational congregation. He found people here with open minds and open hearts. He brought a calm and thoughtful presence, a passion for intergenerational connecting, creative worship leadership, strong administrative skills, and a commitment to growing the church’s reach and impact.
Adam previously served as Minister of Congregational Life at First Congregational Church of Berkeley, CA UCC, for 11 years. He has an M.Div from Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, CA, and a B.A. in Psychology from Cornell College (IA). He was ordained in the Hawaii Conference of the United Church of Christ in 2002 but was born and raised here in Minnesota. His call to Macalester Plymouth is a return home to the Twin Cities for both him and his wife, Megan. They have two daughters and live in the neighborhood of the church.
