I hope you are experiencing a meaningful Advent journey. Our traditions of Hanging of the Greens, lighting the Advent candles, and Carol Sing and Lunch invite us into the joy and beauty of the Christmas and winter season. And they invite us to pay attention to the many ways Christ’s peace, hope, love, joy and justice are both present and seeking to be born in and through us. This Sunday is our Intergenerational Christmas Pageant. Something magical happens when our children and youth embody the story of Jesus’ birth. It’s playful, authentic, and subversive. Thank you, MPUC community, for your ongoing commitment to come alongside parents and grandparents in helping raise up our children and youth.
