Session Report

It was a full agenda at the January 18, 2024 Session meeting. Lee Schafer presented the Session with the 2024 budget for Session approval (and the budget was approved pending review at the annual meeting). Don Christensen attended as a guest and told Session about his work with the UCC PIN, a group whose purpose is to work for peace in Israel and Palestine. Don wrote a resolution asking for a ceasefire in Gaza and the immediate release of all hostages and prisoners on each side. The Session unanimously approved the resolution for presentation at the MPUC annual meeting. We also joyously approved the addition of nine new MPUC members. We thoughtfully discussed--and requested further information for--Interfaith Action’s request that MPUC participate in the “Faithful Hospitality program.” Finally, we took a few minutes to discuss the accomplishments from 2023, marveled at the joys that these brought, and expressed how grateful we are.
