Interfaith Builders & Habitat for Humanity -- Summer 2025!

Our Interfaith Builders group is a little smaller this year because two faith communities have stepped back due to small numbers of volunteers and financial concerns. Based on that, Interfaith Builders made the decision this winter to partner with another group of churches called Holy Hammers. We’ll join them for three days of building in June, then we will still have our own week of building later in the summer.

Holy Hammers is composed of 15 faith communities, and they will perform eight weeks of volunteer work for Habitat for Humanity, April 21, 2025 through June 20, 2025. Interfaith Builders has 10 slots reserved for each of the following days: Monday June 16, 2025; Wednesday June 18, 2025; and Friday June 20, 2025. The work will be at “The Heights”, the site of the former Hillcrest Golf Club at Larpenteur Avenue and McKnight Road. This was the site of last fall’s Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project!

This is a great opportunity to reach out and meet volunteers at other faith communities while volunteering with MPUC folks. This is a way we can transform intention into action and, as always, it will be satisfying work (and lunch!)

We will let you know as soon as our dedicated Interfaith Builder’s Week is scheduled for later this summer.
